Observation
It seems people are less and lass capable of thinking for themselves. The teaching of critical thinking is almost 100% absent in our schools, today. Part of the problem is that we tell student WHAT to think. We don't teach them HOW to think.

Reestablish critical thinking as a concept and a subject that is taught directly or indirectly as a part of itself or other subjects.

If the school board or state agencies are transparent and reports adequately, if they sincerely support traditional critical thinking, then there is no need for this project.
Actions
Have your talking points in writing so you can always refer to them, quickly, if needed.
Get a comprehensive list of educational objectives in your local schools.
Attend meetings or look at material published and note activity.
Get a teacher or knowledgeable person to do an evaluation of things and give interpretative comments. Have them show you and point out where critical thinking is taught or is missing.
Propose appropriate amendments to textbooks, materials and courses that puts the teaching of critical thinking back in the classroom.
Find or establish an efficient way of reporting that easily reaches the general public, especially parents.
