Overall Plan
Bring education back to classic standards and change the system so that it functions as a representative service and not a dictatorship. Return to traditional subject matter and methods resulting in a good education for our progeny and successfully extend our culture forward.
Observation
There are a multitude of functions in any school - not just academics, but responsibilities covering a lot of others disciplines like food service, real estate and legal, just to mention a few. Expecting school board members to be expert in all these areas is just not practical or reasonable. It dilutes academic efforts by drawing attention and efforts to non-academic projects.
Plan
Redefine and change the jurisdiction of the school board limiting it to just academic subjects allowing it to focus exclusively on educational issues. All other functions would be transferred to other department and people who have a background and experience in that discipline. Functions could be divided as follows:
Information Technology (IT)
Finance
Human Resources
Legal
Education Materials and Programs
Services
Administration
Transportation
Community Activities
Security
These functions could be further categorized as belonging to one of three broad groups:
Academics
Operations and Administration
Grounds, Facilities and Transportation

2. Worthwhile Purpose – The school board should be 100% focused on the academic welfare of students without any distractions. Having them more focused will improve education in the area. This project also sets up a separation of powers by distributing responsibility to several rather than one person.

4. How is it Organized
Decide on virtual and/or in-person meetings.
5. How this project is reorganized and Put Back On Track - make sure there is a well defined, well known process for regular inspection and reorganization, if needed.

Conditional
Inspect the area. If the school board's responsibilities are already limited, then there is no need for this project.
Petition, demonstrate or protest, as needed.
Print and distributes a white paper or pamphlet, as needed.
Actions
Get a comprehensive list of departments, functions and people under consideration.
Do two org Charts showing the current and proposed structure.
Draw up a written proposal.
Get it checked by a lawyer.
Present the proposal to the school board or appropriate legislative body and get it approved.
Find or establish an efficient way of reporting that easily reaches the media and general public, especially parents.
