Public Elections
Overall Plan
Bring education back to classic standards and change the system so that iy functions as a representative service and not a dictatorship. Return to traditional subject matter and methods resulting in a good education for our children and successfully extend our culture forward.
Observation
Whether it's the school board or some other administrative position, it's accountable to the public. The people are in-charge and the administrators work for “we the people.” Appointments, out of public sight, are not consistent with the spirit of the job. Appointments that are not qualified or justified based on merit are open to favoritism and other undesirable outcomes.
Plan
Establish a restriction that any position on the school board or any management position anywhere in the system that deals with approvals of textbooks, materials and curricula be publicly elected. No position held through hiring or appointment.
Basics
1. Who are the players

2. Worthwhile Purpose – The public should be fully aware of the people and the issues that are bring processed in the education system.
3 Who’s In-charge – Bill (a fake name - write the real name here)
4. How is it Organized.
Decide on virtual and/or in-person meetings.
5. How Reorganized - make sure there is a well-defined process for regular inspection and reorganization, if needed. An internal watchdog group might fit the bill.
