There should be some rules in education. Imagine playing a sports game without any rules or driving in traffic without any laws - chaos and pandemonium. Same for education. There may be others, but the following guidelines should always be included:

  1. Objective of any course or group of lessons should be positive and in writing.

  2. Subject should not exclude or favor one faction or ideology in favor of another.

  3. Course should impart positive skill or knowledge.

  4. Course should not have a commercial sponsor or even appearance of one.

  5. All courses should have a comprehensive glossary.

  6. Opinion and fact must always be clearly labeled.

  7. Classes covering human sexual subjects (other than defining gender, or gender differences) are prohibited below middle school.

  8. Classes or materials, media and publications will not promote an ideology, political position or religion.

  9. Opinions or teaching, in any form, oral or written, will not violate Constitutional or legal precepts.

  10. Tuition should not exceed expenses plus a reasonable profit including income from investments for public colleges and universities.
